Kyle Kirkpatrick is an enthusiastic instructor with a deep passion for music education. Well-versed in Traditional North American Folk Music, Kyle offers his students an abundance of knowledge in the styles of Bluegrass, Old-Time, Early Country, Blues, and Jazz. Kyle has been teaching private instrument classes for over 15 years and has worked on staff at a number of Bluegrass and Old-time music camps across Canada instructing Guitar, Dobro, Clawhammer banjo, and Band Lab workshops. In 2013 he received a “Bachelor of Music” with Honours from Humber College in Toronto where he studied “Jazz and Contemporary Music” as a Guitar Major and in 2015 he received a “Bachelor of Education” from the University of Toronto with additional qualifications in Music Education from the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is a former Music Educator for the Toronto District School Board and holds a professional designation under the Ontario College of Teachers.
I offer beginner to advanced lessons on guitar, dobro, lap steel, slide guitar, and clawhammer banjo. Students can book one off lessons with me or if you are interested in meeting on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly) get in touch and we can set something up.
$70 CAD / 1 Hour
Private lessons can be purchased through the store on my website but please email to schedule your lesson with me! E-transfers from Canadian students are also accepted.
I believe that music lessons should be accessible to everyone. If you are unable to afford my hourly rate, please inquire about my sliding scale pricing. I have a limited number of slots available for this service but I will do my best to accommodate you if you are in need of some financial assistance to take lessons with me.
